The Royal Educational Foundation of Port Jefferson was established in 1994 as a 501C3 not-for-profit educational corporation to strengthen community participation in school programs and to provide additional funds in order to assure educational excellence for all students in the Port Jefferson School District.

Donations made to the Foundation will be allocated to district programs, activities, and educational resources that would otherwise not be included in the district's annual operating budget.
